Rivermead is proud to rank among the country’s top golf courses, placing 82nd in the prestigious SCOREGolf Top 100 2026 ranking and 72nd in the Top 100 Golf Courses 2025 ranking.
Golf
The original nine‑hole Rivermead course was designed under the direction of Charles Murray in 1910. In 1915, it was expanded to 18 holes by George Cumming, an associate of Stanley Thompson. In 1989, the course underwent major renovations carried out by architects Ken Skodecek and Ken Venturi.
In 2023, a five‑year course enhancement project led by architect Jeff Mingay was completed.
