Rivermead’s CPGA Professional staff offers a variety of instructional programs for players of all levels, including video analysis, on-course playing lessons, coaching programs, private lessons, group lessons and clinic settings. Our objective is to help you improve to increase your enjoyment of the game of golf.
You do not need to be a member to take golf lessons at Rivermead.

Bob came to Rivermead in 2014. Prior to that he was Head Golf Professional at the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club from 2008 to 2014, Cornwall Golf & Country Club for 1991 to 2008 and Pembroke Lakes Golf and Racquet Club in Florida from 1987 to 1990. Bob has won over 50 professional tournaments, including three Ottawa PGA Championships and an Ottawa Senior PGA Championship. Bob competed in the Canadian Open in 1997 as the only club professional. He is recognized as one of the best short-game instructors in the area, teaching both amateurs as well as professionals. Bob has won numerous awards including “Pro Shop of the Year” while at Cornwall and the Ottawa Zone “Player of The Year” in 2013.
Head Golf Instructor
Ralph came to Rivermead in 2013. He has more 25 years of experience in the golf industry. He began his career as an apprentice at the Board of Trade Golf Club in Toronto working under Murray Tucker, one of only a handful of CPGA Master Professionals in Canada. He was also Head Golf Professional at two golf clubs in Belleville.
Over the years, Ralph realized that helping people improve was where he got the most enjoyment, so teaching became his primary focus. Ralph works effectively with golfers of all levels, helping them to improve their scores and enjoyment of the game. In addition to teaching private and group lessons, Ralph runs the Getting Started and Junior programs at Rivermead.
